Understanding Bitcoin Holder Distribution

Bitcoin ownership is extremely concentrated. According to on-chain data from Glassnode and BitInfoCharts, roughly 500 million people worldwide own some Bitcoin, yet fewer than 1 million addresses hold at least 1 BTC. Owning even 0.1 BTC puts you well above the median holder.

This tool uses real address distribution data to estimate your percentile among all Bitcoin holders. It accounts for different tiers, from Shrimp (under 0.1 BTC) to Whale (1,000+ BTC). The distribution is based on on-chain analysis and excludes exchange-controlled addresses where possible.
